The short version
Personal Fin Tools has no accounts and no backend of its own. Every calculation runs in your browser, and the numbers you type are not sent to us.
What stays on your device
Your choice of currency and theme is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it next time. A service worker keeps a copy of the site’s files so it works offline.
Calculator inputs live in the page’s address. If you share a link, whoever opens it sees those numbers. You can clear all of this at any time from your browser’s settings.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical details such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. To count visits, the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not track you across sites or build a profile of you.
Advertising
Personal Fin Tools may show ads served by Google AdSense. When ads are shown, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and other sites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings, and opt out of some other vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.
Children
Personal Fin Tools is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
