How this is calculated
CPF applies to monthly salary up to the $8,000 ceiling, and to bonuses up to an annual total of $102,000. Up to 55, you pay 20% and your employer 17%.
chargeable = pay − CPF relief − other reliefs (capped at $80,000)
tax: 0% on the first $20,000, rising to 24% above $1 million
tax: 0% on the first $20,000, rising to 24% above $1 million
Personal income tax rebates are announced each Budget and aren’t included. Third-year-plus PRs pay full CPF rates; earlier years are graduated. Not tax advice.
