How this is calculated
Contributions go in at the start of each month and grow at the monthly version of a 10% return, rising 5% a year. At 60, at least 20% buys an annuity; the rest can be taken as a lump sum.
tax-free lump sum = up to 60% of the corpus
Exit rules follow the December 2025 amendment for non-government subscribers; corpora up to ₹8 lakh can be withdrawn in full. Government employees keep a 60% lump-sum cap. Your own contributions get up to ₹50,000 of 80CCD(1B) deduction in the old regime; your employer’s are deductible in both.
